Sr. Software Engineer - SharePoint
Skills: SharePoint, SQL, OOP with C# or VB or ASP.NET
Summary
Our client is a leader in the healthcare industry and they are looking for a proven Senior Software Engineer who will be responsible for developing quality software specifications and code for the web technologies team. The ideal candidate will have OO programming experience with C#, ASP.NET and architecture and development experience in SharePoint 2010. You should be comfortable working in an agile software development environment, including emergent architecture, changing requirements, and changing priorities (SCRUM, Agile, XP, etc.). This is a 3 month contract opportunity with possible extension.
Responsibilities
- Software Development
- Actively participate in requirements review, analysis and planning, design and architecture
- Document software specifications and code
- Apply coding standards in code documentation and naming conventions
- Occasionally carry pager.
- Quality Assurance
- Provide technical support for the application by diagnosing and correcting software malfunctions
- Technical Expertise
- Perform research and evaluation of the software design and implementation options while making recommendations as for go forward decision
- Provide technical expertise to applications developers
Qualifications
- 7 + years of experience in programming on enterprise systems
- 5 + years of experience with C# or Visual Basic
- 3 + development experience with SharePoint portal and site administration
- 3 + development experience with SharePoint Designer and web development using XSLTs
- 2 + years of experience with SQL databases, including sound knowledge of SQL
- Ability to architect and build SharePoint solutions
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist for SharePoint 2010 Application Development
- Strong external/internal design, analysis and debugging skills
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with J2EE/Java and web services is a plus
- Knowledge of content management and portal architecture concepts
- 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
