A major oil and gas Service Company in Aberdeen is looking for a Subsea Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The Subsea Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Package Delivery Lead in providing engineering and project coordination support throughout the life of the project.
The Engineer will assume responsibility in specific areas of the project. Support shall continue through the Execution phase (Including detailed design, procurement, installation and pre-commissioning) to Final asset transfer. Due the nature of the project the Subsea Engineer will expected to conversant with a number of subject areas and to be flexible in the type of and level support provided.

Main Duties:
Ensure project HSSE objectives are considered foremost in project activities.
Contribute to the design process to ensure constructability, maintainability and integrity aspects are incorporated and in compliance with international, national and Company standards, company guidelines and engineering best practices.
Contribute to the design & installation engineering of the subsea system through to end of pre-commissioning to meet the approved performance, business criteria and stakeholders requirements.
Provide input to technical and progress reports to support the flow of information to management to assist in decision taking.
Contribute to the MoC process, Engineering Design Reviews and Engineering Assurance
Attendance at and input to FATs and SITs
Capture and distribute Lessons Learned
Be pro-active in performing any tasks (within individual's competency) necessary to make the Knarr development a success.

Requirements:
15 years experience in fulfilling similar roles.
Proven experience in supporting large subsea projects at a senior engineer/coordination level.
Experienced in subsea engineering design, in particular pipelines and structures
Experienced in subsea installation of all aspects relating to the project development.
Experience in flexible risers and umbilicals preferred
Able to lead multi-disciplined team including specialist contractors
Capable of deputising for package leads as may be required from time to time.
Experienced in project interfaces (both internal and external) and working closely with package managers
