Senior Transition Specialist (lead consultant/manager)
Lead managed service transition activities within delivery for projects and programmes
Be recognised across the business as a lead expert in his/her own discipline
Lead on large complex/major deals as a senior transition specialist guiding teams of experienced professionals on strategic approach to delivery, service transition plan content, commercials, tactics, internal and external negotiation
Produce detailed operation manuals for the managed service business
Manage Operational Readiness Review engagements with the business
Schedule & Co-ordinate Service and Proactive Monitoring testing within Managed Services
Work with PM and Implementation team to ensure technical testing is completed
Manage and own service testing; creation of test scripts, test plans and results
Provide the Project Manager with timely updates on specific service transition activities
Deliver presentations to (Managed Services) before go live on end to end service models
May deliver presentations to the wider business as required
Liaise and influence technical architects and engineers to provide detailed design documentation and support for transition activities
Ensure any operations issues and risks with service designs are raised with PM and Managed Services
Lead on team business plan projects bringing suggestions and running programmes to drive efficiency, cost transformation and innovation in transition life cycle
Be an expert sought after by the delivery team for major customer engagements
Contribute to alignment between Professional Services and Managed Services solutions strategy
Be an expert on contracts and complex delivery models
Be a mentor in the team for complex transitions
May provide management cover for line of business practice manager
Manage and deliver small to medium transitions from time to time
Lead on producing new content for use across Line of Business including proposal documentation, slide ware, reference material, marketing materials and brochure ware
May lead planning for team training and development to meet evolving business objectives
Achieve ITILv3 foundation and service transition accreditation
May have one or more other industry recognised certifications in own discipline eg ISO, ITIL, PRINCE2
May lead IT Service Maturity consultancy services to customers as required
Lead and/or support the business in Service Improvement Initiatives
