DESCRIPTION:
- Analyze business requirements against existing processes, systems, and data stores for gap analysis and recommended improvements
- Conduct analysis of business process workflow and outline alternative solutions considering benefits, risks and costs
- Work with Quality Assurance/Tester to facilitate and assist with the development and execution of the testing requirements
- Mentor and develop other project team members for full transition as required
- Accountable for SimCorp business analysis processes and activities for the project
- Complete the SimCorp Configuration for the Reconciliations workflows following direction from the SimCorp Lead
- Complete the SimCorp Configuration for the Transaction Workflow following direction from the SimCorp Lead
- Execute G/L transport configuration following the guidelines set out by the Program team
- Coordinate Service Requests with SimCorp
- Setup Portfolio Schemes for the Reconciliation stream
- Support the project team during the transport activities between environments
- Support the SimCorp Senior Consultant Configuration Reconciliation workflow's
- Participate in SimCorp Configuration testing and assist in defect triage and resolution coordination
Skills and Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SimCorp functionality a must
- Knowledge of SimCorp configuration/development is an asset
- Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or equivalent is an asset
- Strong Analytical skills with knowledge of techniques and tools used for process mapping, agile development methodologies and JAD facilitation is essential
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; proven ability to adapt to constantly evolving priorities and environments, ability to multitask and work independently
- Experience in business analysis execution, preferably in a financial institution environment
- Overall end-to-end view of business processes and data flows to understand core business issues
- Ability to identify underlying assumptions and constructively challenge them if necessary to ensure scope and requirements are clearly understood and documented
- Investment industry experience is preferred (ie understanding of investment products, trade life cycle, performance measurement, risk management, etc.); experience with market, credit, and liquidity risk domain would be an asset
- A natural leader with strong relationship building skills; ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of management and staff
