Supply Desk are partnering a faith school in the Rochdale LA in their search for a Year 3 teacher for a September start. Initially for a one-year post, the school may have the flexibility to make the post permanent for an outstanding applicant. Our school has recently had new interactive whiteboards installed and is at the forefront of delivering a free-flowing curriculum; where literacy and numeracy are integrated into topic work. It is the schools' belief that this inclusive system allows children to flourish and gain a sound understanding of the curriculum in the broadest sense of the word. The school are led by a forward-thinking, visionary head teacher who was an "Outstanding" teacher themselves, so the core values of her teaching style are instilled in to her team. Each classroom has a Teaching Assistant, and, there are HLTA's across the school who are available to provide support to those pupils who need it. The school has recently invested heavily in its resource centre and the successful candidate would have access to state of the art facilities.The successful applicant would be working with a Year 3 group with some difficulties, many caused by the location of the school and the social depravation in the catchment area. This post is open to Newly Qualified Teachers; however, this may be more suited to an experienced teacher who has undergone the rigours of an OfSTED inspection and has proven work history in increasing attainment levels at lower Key Stage 3. At interview, you will be required to provide evidence of your successes and also discuss strategies in order to accomplish the necessary attainment improvements for your pupils.
It is essential that you hold a valid, recognised teaching qualification and have 6 weeks recent experience of teaching in the UK. We must also be able to contact your past school to obtain a reference.
