The IT Project Manager will manage IT projects, initiation through close-out, as assigned and within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives.Job Description:
Provide leadership for IT project team members and the Project Management process. Position generally used for projects requiring integration of multiple functional organizations. Works independently with only general direction. Responsible for the pursuit of cost reductions and maximizing value on all assigned projects. Responsible for project communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations. Directly accountable for the management of large projects.
1. Manage the design and implementation of the layer 1, 2 3 backhaul network from the AL gear interfacing with the SSN Master eBridge, through the core of the SCADA environment. This includes telecom and data networking design and deployment, understanding of construction methods, working with SCADA App teams to assure understanding of network interfaces with SCADA network elements. Also, field visits to substations, working with a professional engineering contractor on design within substations, working with Facilities on design and installation at non-substation locations. Obtain installation contractors at Facilities, working with another PM for installation support. Need to assure all design elements are being addressed in design and construction and interface with all appropriate vendors, suppliers and internal IT and business groups to assure these design inputs are obtained and design conditions are met.
2. Manage the design and implementation of the Master eBridge locations, which would be consistent to AL 7705 network Router gear locations. The main focus here is to work closer with SSN on the engineering and deployment, both tactically (month to month) and strategically (over the five years).
3. Manage the design and installation of the remote eBridges and relays. Work with SSN, the DA team, other IT and Business groups on the tactical and strategic deployment plan and execute that plan. Assure proper testing and cutovers of new devices are worked without issue. Will also provide SSN and PM construction/design support.
4. Manage the implementation of integrating new DA device installations to assure SSN devices are part of DA deployment going forward. Need to work with DA device vendors, and multitude of teams that currently are part of the process that employs the use of Utilinet. This area will also have as part of its scope the various changes in the current SCADA application databases necessary to log and maintain SSN radios, which at this point only considers Utilinet radios.
5. Manage to Operational Readiness of the DA SSN/AL network. PM skills needed as well as strong Operational background to understand what is required to run operations.

Bachelor's degree (technical or management discipline) with at least 6 years experience, a minimum of 3 years of which have been as a project team member OR 10 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years professional experience of which 3 must be in the field of management of projects AND PMP Certification
Position Requirements:
Must have experience in telecommunications: RF, Wimax, cellular, fiber technologies. Plus any smart grid experience is a plus.
