Our client are a growing global company In East/Central Scotland. They require the support of an experienced Mechanical Design Draughtsman to start immediately.

The successful candidate will be charged with the responsibility of providing remote project assistance, liaising with a team of design engineers overseas who support the client's engineering arm on site in Scotland. Candidates must be comfortable and able to manage and co-ordinate these miniature international projects, delegating work over seas, managing the progress's, checking calculations and designs before sending to manufacture.

This role will be challenging and require someone with strong communication n skills and the ability to delegate work.

On site, the successful candidate will be working in a small team that act as a resource pool for the rest of the business. With this work will be relatively varied and candidates will be expected to switch quickly from one project o the next when additional support is required. The company have two core products that they manufacture which will require modification and amendment depending on customer requirements.

Essential Experience;

- HNC/HND in a Mechanical field or Mechatronics.
- 3D CAD design experience. Solidworks is preferred, but Pro Engineer and Inventor applicants will be considered.
- Experience of carrying out basic calculations and checking of drawing.
Desired Experience
- work in the oil and gas, aerospace, automotive or medium/heavy industry companies.
