Our client is the manufacturer of the newest generation of highly sought-after computer hardware seeking a Validation Engineer for an excellent contract opportunity.

OVERVIEW:

  • Scrum team validation
  • Feature test (test execution and test plan)
  • Integration test
  • Unit test code coverage metrics collection
  • Code inspection/reviews
  • Review of Programmer's Reference Manuals
  • Review of Product Requirements Documents
  • Performance profiling
  • Static Analysis
  • Ensures the Team is following RTI Process

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of standard Quality Assurance methods (Manual, Adhoc, Automated, System, and White/Black Box testing)
  • Understanding of artifact creation, such as Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Result documents and Defect reports
  • Understanding of different testing levels (Unit Testing, Feature Testing, Integration, System testing and User Acceptance Testing)
  • Understanding of different type of testing (Smoke Testing, Regression, Stress Testing, and Performance Testing)
  • Understanding of automation of test cases
  • Understanding of Exploratory testing techniques
  • Understanding of software development processes and systems architecture
  • Understanding of fundamentals of Secure Code Development and Security testing
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle and test methodologies
  • Experience in verifying application functionality against business requirements both manually and by using Quality Automation tools (TestComplete, Win Runner, QuickTest Pro, Test Director with Quality Center).
  • Working knowledge in Unix and Windows platforms

MUST BE ABLE TO:

  • Develop and execute formal test plans and test cases
  • Test complex Client Server applications
  • Interact with development team to understand and debug software issues
  • Establish priorities and adapt as needed in a fast moving environment
  • Meet deadlines and produce required deliverables
  • Learn rapidly under self direction
  • Work hands-on and pay close attention to detail
  • Participate in, as well as promote, a team environment

This is contract position is expected to be 12 months in duration.
