Overview:

Our client, a major UK retail bank, requires the services of a Senior PMO Support member of staff, who has experience within retail banking. This role is for a Senior PMO to join an International team and work alongside the PMO Manager and other PMO resources within the team on a process simplification project.

Core duties of the role:

The Senior PMO will work alongside the Project Managers and their teams and will help and support them with the Embedded governance processes.

Due to the level of this role we are looking for successful candidates to bring to the role previous Project Management Office experience.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Working with Senior Stakeholders to produce Steering pack content to agreed standards and timescales for various audiences.
  • Experience of supporting and producing project plans and associated reporting to Senior Executive level.
  • Experience of providing administrative support to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills and the ability to deliver and communicate with all levels of staff to Senior Executive level.
  • Experience of supporting Project Managers with governance.
  • Providing a secretariat function for key committees and initiatives. Ensuring all programme standards are adhered to and developing processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness
  • Producing all reporting packs and MI

Core skills and experience required:

  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills and the ability to influence people at all levels including Senior Executives.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • The ability to work to self work and use initiative at all times.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills

  • Previous Financial Experience
  • Project Manager recognised qualification.

Any other information

The role is based within Manchester but there may be times when travel will be required to ensure this role is fully carried out therefore the successful candidate should have a commitment to travel as and when required.
