Wellness Coordinator

A school consortium in Lima, Ohio seeks an experienced Wellness Coordinator to plan, develop, and implement wellness and disease management programs for the employees of the schools including creating a culture of wellbeing, health risk assessments, health screenings, health fairs, wellness programs and challenges, employee education and communication, and disease and lifestyle management.

Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Develop, plan, and implement a wellness and disease management program
  • Plan, implement and evaluate marketing material and promotional activities for the Wellness program
  • Serve as liaison between schools and external wellness vendor(s)
  • Facilitate and attends wellness meetings
  • Conducts employee education and information meeting as required
  • Plan and coordinate services (i.e. health fairs, seminars, health campaigns/programs) 
  • Assess employee health needs by analyzing health assessment data, culture, and other available information to help make appropriate cost containment recommendations to the consortium.
  • Provide guidance and direction based on ongoing analysis of employee health status in order to meet the consortium’s health and wellness program goals and objectives
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in health education, public health, health counseling/behavior–related field
  • 2 - 3 years of professional work experience within the area of health education/wellness
  • Experience implementing and managing projects
  • Demonstrated health insurance industry knowledge preferred
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects while ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Effective problem solving and resolution skills
  • Self directed, energetic, organized, flexible, and customer focused
  • Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Power point, and Excel require
  • Ability to travel to various locations with access to own transportation for business use
