For one of our clients we are looking for a:
Digital TV Applications Operator
Job description:
- The person will manage several projects at any one time; projects include interactive TV services deployments and updates
- To manage the throughput of interactive TV series and content and taking responsibility for supporting and maintaining interactive TV services and content across the business
- Being a point of contact on behalf of the Product and Online Media Group for local branches and third parties
- The person will work with virtual teams across the business during the final stages of development, testing and delivery of interactive TV services providing support and operational leadership in the execution of day-to-day activities. They will also ensure the timely submission of deployment support documents.
- The person may also wok with teams during the early stages of projects identifying broadcast and technical requirements
- The person will exercise their excellent interpersonal skills in meetings to ensure maximum value is extracted from the relationship with all parties. This could be revenue partners, a 3rd party advertisers or 3rd party broadcasters.
The digital TV Applications officer is required:
- To assist in setting up processes for update and maintenance of services
- To troubleshoot and resolve live issues in a pro-active and timely manner. This may mean dealing with the issue directly, alerting a 3rd party content provider or escalating to internal agencies within business groups
- To work with the mistral ETV Studio system to manage the deployment and maintenance of interactive TV services form launch to termination
- Produce and maintain operational documents, plans and reports
- To deliver accurate, timely, and effective communications internally and externally
- To work with teams to ensure quality management standards for interactive TV services are met at all times
- To review and accept interactive TV services and supporting documentation from internal teams and 3rd parties
- To assist others to ensure operational activities fulfil product and commercial requirements
- To build and maintain relationships with key project members and stakeholders across the Company, pro-actively managing their expectations
- Other such duties as shall reasonably be requested
Job Demands:
- Experience of operations, production and project management, delivering to expectation and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written in English), preferably in an international environment
- Self-motivated and proactive in the working environment
- Must have initiative and be a good self-starter but also be able to contribute to the team across Europe with excellent skills in mediating between the requirements of multiple parties to prioritise workflow and recommend innovative solutions
- Analytic mind-set and ability to solve issues in a logical manner
- Bachelor degree of local equivalent required
- Woking knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and Outlook'
- Experience working in broadcast or convergent media environment
Desirable
- Passionate about interactive media and aware and abreast of developments
- Demonstrable Project & Process Management experience & skills
- Experience of managing external partners and a good client-facing manner
- Creative contributions to on-going improvements to process efficiency
- Experience of HTML or XML coding and basic graphic production
- Experience in deploying interactive Web or TV ideas or solutions
- Ability to understand principles underlying bespoke technical infrastructure, an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of interactive TV services and the ways in which consumers do and will use iTV
Language Skills:
- Fluency in other European languages besides English
- Location: Amsterdam Area
- Start: ASAP (fulltime)
