Description:
The team is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of a highly available 24x7 UNIX Enterprise environment. This environment consists of 1600 of Linux (Redhat, SUSE) HPUX, AIX and Solaris Servers.
Mission:
investigation, resolution, and explanation of UNIX server related issues.
deploy and implement enhancements that will improve the reliability, maintainability, and performance of the system and its infrastructure.
In accordance with customer's security policies and directives, deploy, maintain, and enhance the security of Servers through administrative, preventive, detective, and reactive controls, such as change and configuration management, anti-virus measures, patch management, and system scans.
Skill Required:
- Experience on Linux/Solaris/HPUX/AIX administration in a large enterprise setting.
- Deep knowledge on volume mangers -LVM/SVM/VxVM
- Deep Knowledge on Virtualization - LPAR, VIO, Sun Zones, LDOM, HP-IVM, NPAR, VPAR
- Deep knowledge on Mid-High range Servers
- Good Working Experience in Service Guard/VCS/Sun Cluster
- OS Hardening and Performance Tuning
- Knowledge on Kernel Configuration
- Deep Knowledge on NFS, NTP, NIS, DNS
- Manage print environment
- Good Knowledge on Jumpstart/Kickstart/Ignite/NIM
- Exposure on OVO, Nagios, HPSIM, HMC tools
- Preferable to have experience in Tivoli, autosys, CFT tools
- Experience in one or more Scripting languages desired
- Experience working with helpdesk ticketing applications like Remedy
- Good knowledge on ITIL processes
- Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationship with both internal associates and external customers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills
- Able to lead discussions with client personnel
- Able to express concepts and provided information clearly and concisely
- Able to articulate troubleshooting questions clearly

- Ability to work with broad range of experience levels
Experience:
- At least 2-10 years' experience in UNIX systems administrator role
- Technical certification and technology specific study
