Short-term assignment to assist with the migration of Cloud PBX application to new architecture and assist with design and development of enhancements to Cloud PBX application.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • IP Networking, Wired and Wireless, IPV4 and IPV6 Migration.
  • RHEL Linux System Administration, including Backup, Disaster Recovery, H/A.
  • Linux Kernel Modifications and Drivers.
  • OpenVZ virtualization experience.
  • Coding Linux Shell.
  • VoIP Softswitches Asterisk, Freeswitch.
  • 5 years experience with voice architecture and development, including SIP, IVR, and PBX.
  • Server hardware technology.
  • Application tuning and stabilization experience.
  • Strong Object Oriented Analysis and design skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self starter who can work effectively independently as well as in cross functional team environments.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
  • Unionfs file system.
  • Experience in a cloud-based, virtual server environment.
  • PHP Web application design and development, including JSON and RESTful web services.
  • VoIP Hardware Desk and Hand Sets.
  • VoIP Softswitch Web Portals and Packages, FreePBX, 2600Hz.
  • VoIP Packages, PBXIAF, Elastix, A2B.
  • POTS Telephone Equipment and Networks.
  • CLEC/ILEC Technologies and Regulations.
  • Telecommunications industry and/or billing systems knowledge.
  • Technical undergraduate degree/graduate degree.
Description/Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all aspects of the development life cycle for the Cloud PBX platform and infrastructure, including requirements gathering and analysis, prototyping, design, development and testing.
  • Re-do of automated provisioning API between web services infrastructure and virtualized hardware nodes.
  • Design and development on improving the NetPBX virtualized PBX infrastructure including template design/build/packaging with latest Asterisk technologies.
  • Take ownership of individual projects within a release.
