Our client is a favorite American vintner brand seeking a qualified QA Engineer for an excellent contract opportunity.
The primary responsibility of this Software Quality Assurance Engineer is the planning and execution of functional testing for a new browser-based commodity procurement application. Candidate should be able to work independently to analyze requirements and create and execute comprehensive test cases. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with the Development Team to detect and track defects to resolution.
OVERVIEW:
- Analyze requirements documents, particularly Front End specifications, and create comprehensive test cases.
- Create and manage the test plan, actively communicating statuses accordingly.
- Perform functional testing, logging and tracking defects and driving issues to resolution using JIRA.
- Provide reasonable task and project cost/effort estimates.
- Ensure timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Expert in all phases of quality assurance including test strategy, design, development, and execution with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with focus on attention to details
- Business requirements evaluations and assessment expertise targeted towards developing testable requirements a must with a minimum history of 5 years working knowledge
- Experience with testing automation against JavaScript intensive web front ends a plus
This contract position is expected to be about 12 months in duration.
