Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of cable and telecom services, is seeking a Senior Netezza ETL Developer to work closely with the business and technology owners. The Senior Netezza ETL developer is needed to work on the Order Management System Extension (OMSe) project, a GUI-based application that is the component of the Flow Through Provisioning (FTP) system that: a) Manages the processing of the billing system work orders, and b) Provides a tool to identify and manually resolve fallout orders (ie, exceptions to flow-through).
Duties include:
- Source the TPV data extract files on an hourly basis and load them into the database.
- Provide three TPV reports using MicroStrategy.
- Provide integration with Back End applications; build, maintain and support software.
- Respond to bug reports, usability or interface issues; assist with administration tasks including software installation, software patches, security administration, data back-up, replication, and testing of high-availability and restoration capabilities.
- 6-10 years of comparable experience.
- Netezza (at least 3 years).
- Relational databases (3-4 years).
- SQL (3-4 years).
- Unix (3-4 years).
- Shell Scripting.
- Understanding of Code Versioning tools such as WinCVS, Subversion and Visual Source Safe.
- BS/BA.
- Experience and business domain knowledge in Cable industry IT and related Datawarehouse models.
- Technical Knowledge in Billing Systems, specially cable-related systems such as ICOMS and CSG.
- Unix-based scheduling, particularly Tidal and ABAC.
- Experience in quality management Infrastructure Software such as HP Quality Center.
