Our client is a favorite American vintner brand seeking an Analyst/Specifications Author for an excellent contract opportunity.
The candidate partners with Business Subject Matter Experts to develop screen, interface, and report specifications for a new commodity procurement application. S/He will be responsible for the creation of Front End screen specifications, report specifications, business requirements and system interfaces. Interpretation, analysis, and documentation are the primary tasks at hand. This Analyst will interact with the development team on a daily basis, and act as a partner with the project team and broader IS organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience writing software functional Front End specifications and technical documentation
- Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of business systems analysis experience
- Strong interpersonal, analysis, and systems analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of people with various levels of technical expertise
PREFERRED:
- Project management experience
- Experience documenting application integration specifications
- Experience documenting report specifications
- Experience reading, analysing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Practiced at writing procedure manuals and training guides a plus
- Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Skills at expressing complex system attributes in business-oriented terms
- Experience interfacing with broad technology areas and a range of business and functional requirements
- Working knowledge of programming, data management, and software engineering desired
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Access and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational database design
- Experienced defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
- Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables
- Experience performing work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult in character, usually involving limited responsibility, requiring frequent evaluation, originality or ingenuity
- Experience resolving conflict by creating a win-win situation
- Ability to apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization
