Do you have solid experience with Environment Configuration and Change & Release Management? If the answer is yes, one of Australia's largest finance companies is looking for you...

The role is titled Environment & Release Analyst and in that capacity you will take ownership and accountability for the investigation of user requirements and problems. You will be responsible for developing technology solutions in accordance with business needs by: owning and delivering release initiatives; contributing to the development of systems documentation and providing system support by providing fail and fix application support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Use technical specifications, requirements, standards and procedures to modify environments to produce quality results as part of an application development or problem resolution activity
  • Develop solutions and specifications so that agreed requirements can be converted into functional systems
  • Make initial diagnosis of problems, for a system or sub-system or apply known solutions, including documenting problems, progress checking and escalation to ensure resolution 
  • Work with business users (in conjunction with Business Analysts) to clarify requirements, resolve issues 

You should have the following skills and experience:

  • Solid experience in environment management and exposure to release and configuration management.
  • Root cause analysis experience and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills (internal/external vendor management)
  • Experience in the following technologies: Unix commands, Unix Scripting, WinTel, Oracle RDBMS concepts, Oracle Application Server (OAS) for forms and reports, IBM WebSphere, Java - minor, PL/SQL
