My client is currently seeking a Systems Support Assistant to assistant the Financial Systems Manager and Business Systems Officer in the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Financial and HR Systems. This is a contract until March 2013 where there is a possibility of an extension beyond this point.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the control and maintenance of user access to the financial and HR systems in accordance with set guidelines.
  • To assist in the execution of functional testing in accordance with agreed test plans.
  • To assist in the planning of in-house financial and HR systems training courses.
  • To maintain records and version controls of Finance Directorate and Systems internal procedures notes.
  • To assist in the collection and collation of Finance Directorate performance indicators.
  • To provide document consolidation via Adobe Acrobat software for the above Directorates
  • To provide support and guidance to eFinancials and iTrent users on aspects of functionality.
  • To promulgate Procedure, Guidance and Policy notes for the above Directorates.

Furthermore, the postholder is required:

  • To comply with the Service's Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • To comply with the Service's Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • To carry out any other duties consistent with the post as may be required by the Chief Officer.
