Description
Spring Technology currently require a Finance Specialist for our public sector client based in London.
Assignment-
The zero based budget review will need a small team, including legal, policy and financial skills. The department can redeploy resources for the legal and policy requirements but does not have any flexibility on financial capacity. The person will report to the Chief Operating Officer and the Interim Director of Finance & Shared Services (when appointed). There will not be any direct staff management responsibilities, although supervision/mentoring of staff assigned to the review may occasionally be required.
The work will involve:
* Detailed financial analysis of budgets and spend information.
* The creation of activity and unit cost information which does not currently exist from the Commission's financial records and data bases.
* Financial modelling and analysis of budget options.
* Costing and financial assessment of overheads and outsourcing potential.
