OPERATIONS ANALYST - ASSET MANAGEMENT - WINDOWS - EXCHANGE - UNIX - SHIFTS

My client, a leading Asset Management organisation are looking to expand their operations team by taking on another Operations Analyst based in London. The candidate must have excellent Windows and command line UNIX skills in addition to a track record of maintaining heterogeneous production environments from an operational perspective. Other skills required include an in depth understanding of monitoring, backup and communications software.

In particular the candidate must have excellent knowledge and working experience of maintaining a Windows 2003 Active Directory environment containing multiple forests and trust relationships.

The candidate must also be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Exchange 2003.

The operations team is responsible for all production and test systems as well as the distribution of data across GAM.

This role is based on a rotating shift pattern, to allow cover 24 hours a day 5 and half days per week, in 8 hour cycles with possible requirement to work bank holidays when required. The shifts are: 7am-3pm/

3pm - 11pm/11pm-7am.

Experience needed

  • DOS/NT Script - Command line knowledge.
  • Windows - Domain Administration.
  • UNIX Operations experience/Telnet/terminal emulation, basic command line knowledge etc.
  • AD Administration and support.
  • MS Exchange Administration.
  • Windows NT/W2K Server/Workstation configuration experience
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP
  • Veritas Netbackup V6
  • VMWare - vSphere Client (V5)
