CAD Draughtsman/Design engineer (electrical) required with our client in Nailsea, a world leading Oil and Gas Company.

To produce, under the supervision and direction of a Senior or Principal Designer, detailed manufacturing drawings to specified Company standards to meet the requirement of an FDS prepared by engineering. Also to produce conceptual new designs.

Specific Responsibilities
* Produce design schemes based on the FDS.
* Generate drawings in accordance with Procedural Instructions, Codes of Practice
and National Standards.
* Liaise with engineering to ensure interfaces are clearly defined.
* Convey all manufacturing data for procurement and assembly purposes.
* Control and maintain the design standard of the product.
* Checking drawings for accuracy and errors.
* Provide input and estimates to the Lead Engineer/Chief Engineer

Contacts
Internal: If allocated to a project, the Designer will report to the Lead Engineer. Whilst not on Project, will be managed as part of the Engineering resource Pool by the Engineering Manager and the Engineering Resource Controller. As part of the resource pool (non project) the Designer may be utilised for R&D work, in which case he/she will report directly to the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications and Experience
The post holder shall have an engineering background and will be familiar with Company codes of practice and relevant national and international standards.
Must be able to communicate effectively - verbal and written English.
Must be computer literate.
Expertise in ProE and ProEngineer Wildfire.
Expertise in AutoCad.
Must be capable of multi-tasking and working to agreed schedules and be 'commercially aware' in engineering solutions.
Understanding of manufacturing technologies and MRP process control systems
