Role: Oracle Senior Analyst Developer
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Duration: 4 month initial
Rate: £/day + expenses
Technical Requirements
- Oracle PL/SQL
- Oracle Forms
- Oracle Designer
- Oracle Reports
- Unix Shell Scripting
- Oracle database (8i, 9i, 10g, 11g)
- WebSphere (Message Flows)
Non-Technical Requirements
- Strong analysis skills (particularly Legacy code analysis).
- Strong communication skills.
- Good innovator, with a desire to find new and more efficient ways to implement.
- Strong sense of ownership with reference to both the assigned tasks and the overall objective.
- Flexibility, with reference to supporting the business (eg releases).
- Strong team player.
- Willingness to share and pass on knowledge and experience where sought.
Further Requirements (beneficial)
- Experience in financial services
- Knowledge of Treasury systems
- Working experience with Offshore teams
Assignment Information
The successfully candidate can reasonably be expected to contribute to/participate in/perform the following over the life cycle of the project:
- Requirements clarification
- Solution design
- Detailed design
- Estimation of tasks
- Development/programming
- Unit and Integration testing
- System Test, UAT and post-Go Live Support
- Implementation
The developer may work as the sole developer on a project or as a member of a larger team reporting to a PM or Technical Lead, depending on the size of the project. Therefore, strong communication skills and the ability to monitor progress to plan is important. Furthermore, depending on demand, a developer may work across more than 1 project, and must be flexible in this respect.
