Description
A financial services organisation based in Northern Sydney requires an experienced Systems Engineer for a 6 month contract. This is a rare opportunity to gain valuable project experience within the financial services industry. The successful applicant will be required to draw on strong technical skills and experience in order to fully plan, design and implement several upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning a data centre relocation
* Planning a disaster recovery process
* Planning infrastructure builds for new applications
* Planning an infrastructure build for a document management system
Key Skills
* Windows Server - plan/design/implementation and support
* IBM Servers - plan/design/implementation and support
* Experience with disaster recovery
* Citrix
* VMWare
* Solid understanding of SAN storage for a windows environment - preferably EMC SAN
* Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
* Ability to carry out WAN changes
* Ability to work through network/connectivity changes
* Excellent communication skills essential
* Strong project management skills and the ability to work autonomously
Key Experience
* Strong experience with server builds
* Strong experience with network/infrastructure builds
* At least 3-5 years technical hands on and project experience
* Financial services industry experience highly regarded
