Oracle DBA, Hiring Now!.

Will Support 10g and 11g production databases on both AIX and Windows platforms Assist Lead Oracle DBA with project-related DBA tasks as required/assigned Utilize software tools (ie BMC Remedy ARS) to initiate, receive, track, and document incident and change requests. Follow standards for systems implementation, support techniques, and adherence to formal processes, minimum security baseline, change control, best practices, and total quality practices in all activities. Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation for Oracle database systems, products, and services Provide support and assistance to development teams in the design, development, testing, tuning, and implementation of database applications

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • We are looking for candidates with long term assignments. No short term contracts
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
  • 6+ years Oracle DBA experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the following: Oracle 10g/11g with production support experience in a multi-project environment, SQL and PL/SQL including tuning
  • Proven Oracle Database Administration experience in production and development environments including installing, patching, and upgrading Oracle Databases.
  • Strong hands-on experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service and optimum storage capability including query optimization, initialization parameters, etc.
  • Strong knowledge, understanding, and experience with the following: AIX (basic commands and Shell Scripting), Windows (basic commands and Shell Scripting), Analytical/Problem-solving/Trouble-shooting skills, Performance/tuning skills, Software system installation and configuration (purchased software packages), Oracle Real Application Clusters (11gR2) oOracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) oOracle DataPump Export/Import, Oracle Enterprise Manager (11gR1)
  • Good knowledge/understanding of Oracle Fail Safe on Windows platform
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to learn quickly
