My client is in need for an experienced IT Helpdesk Support Officer to join its IT department for an initial 5 month contract with the view to be extended. The successful applicant will primarily provide desktop and networking support in a mixed IT environment made up of Linux, Mac and PC desktop.

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following;

• Provide level 1/2 client support, problem resolution and solution advice.
• Perform general desktop and network administration functions using directory services, applications and web based systems.
• Provide advice to clients in the selection, purchasing, deployment and use of information technology solutions that meet their identified requirements whilst ensuring consistency with the IT infrastructure of the departments.

To be suitable for this role you will ideally have:

• Comprehensive understanding of PC/Windows and/or Mac computing environments including hardware and software
• Have experience in Level 1/2 support
• Show comfort in working via email, phone and in client facing situations
• Good general knowledge of IT Networks
• Excellent Customer Service
• Must have a positive attitude

This successful candidate will be offered an initial 5 month contract with the view to be extended or go permanent and receive a rewarding hourly rate.
