Quality Assurance TechnicianContract: Temporary for 6 months
Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm and Friday 8am - 1.30pm
Location: Whitstable
Amphenol Ltd is an innovative and leading edge manufacturer of both connectors and Interconnect systems for applications within the Mil-Aero and Industrial Markets. We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician to work in this exciting and fast paced £35m sales turnover business. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Quality performance improvement activities within the site.
Key responsibilities include: -
o Conducting capability studies and MSA activities when required, whilst maintaining relevant data and records
o Maintaining open communication links with key departments
o Active involvement in the product verification audit process
o Supporting the containment or source inspection activity resulting from reported quality incidents
o Active involvement in the as produced' and as shipped' CEO (Customer Eyes Oversight) activity, whilst maintaining accurate reports and records
Essential Qualities include: -
o GCSEs English and Maths Grade C or above, or equivalent
o Experience working within a fast paced manufacturing environment
o Product/Process inspection experience
o Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings
o Basic Metrology Knowledge (for example one or more of the following: Vernier's, Micrometers, DTIs, etc.)
o PC literate including Microsoft Office packages
o Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work with minimum supervision
o Self motivated, with the ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines
o Good communication skills
o Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
Desirable Qualities include: -
o City and Guilds in Quality Assurance
o GCSE Science Grade C or above, or equivalent
o First article and initial sample inspection, as well as report writing experience
o Internal quality systems auditing knowledge
o Knowledge of how to use coordinate measuring systems
