- Ability to prepare all classes of estimates in accordance with corporate and project processes and procedures including project gate and sanction process.
- To be responsible, as and when required, for the estimating of complete projects or packages
- In conjunction with the Engineering team, establish systems consistent with the requirements for efficient cost control and planning during respective life cycle phases of a project and retain and record data for future estimates and benchmarking.
- Liaise during the estimating phase between various members of the department and engineering disciplines to establish continuity and consistency.
- To enter into, as required, discussions with other members of the of AMEC and Client organisation to establish and maintain a programme database.
- To prepare and present a professional estimate.
- Manage the WBS structure insofar as ensuring adequate set-up in the AMEC systems that meet client and project reporting requirements.
- Manage the Change Management process
- Ensure efficient and timely distribution of information to cost and planning group ensuring accuracy of forecasting and reporting
- Engage with supply chain and Commercial regarding Invoiced Values, Accruals, Commitments etc
- Ability to maintain databases of information

Experience
Essential:
- Experience in use of estimating systems
- Experience in preparation of capital cost estimates for major construction related projects
Desirable:
- Experience of managing personnel
- Experience of offshore oil and gas industry
- Experience in presentations to clients
Personal
- Good written and verbal communication in English
- Computer literate
- Good team member
- Familiar with estimating software, packages and databases
Qualifications
Essential:
- HNC
Desirable:
- Degree in appropriate discipline
