IT Technical/Solutions Architect needed in Amsterdam
Location: Center Amsterdam (The Netherlands)
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: €100,000 - €120,000 + benefits (depending on Experience)
Job Position: IT Technical Solutions Architect
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a very experienced, (ideally 7 years plus in IT) and very technical (ideally 5 years + working as an Architect) candidate who preferably has experience of working in the Finance Sector, ideally Investment Banking.
Experience & Key Skills Needed:
- Ideally 15+ years IT experience preferably within the financial service industry.
- 5+ years architecting enterprise solutions within J2EE or .NET architecture.
- 3+ years experience of Oracle or SQL Server (or any comparable enterprise scalable database technology).
- Experience, or certification, of TOGAF or Zachman frameworks is desirable.
- Experience of any Enterprise scalable messaging infrastructure (ie TIBCO, MQ) is desirable.
- Strong Object Oriented skills (eg from Java or C++).
- Strong UML design skills.
- Experience within the financial markets and/or oil, gas and power would be a benefit.
- Experience of iterative/agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP, DSDM, RUP etc.).
- Strong Quality Process Management experience (ie SCM, QA etc).
- Delivery focused and flexible in work undertaken.
- Team lead experience.
- 5 years experience of delivering enterprise level solutions within Java/J2EE or .NET stack architectures.
Software/Infrastructure Should have significantly more experience in software than infrastructure though you also need to be infrastructure aware from the perspective of being actively involved in the selection of tin in terms of capacity, performance and scaling, basic network configuration etc, you cant just draw a box in a design, write Solaris in it and expect someone else to decide what and where.
Solution Architect You need to have functioned as an architect on at least one software delivery project (complete SDLC) in the last two years and have done this for more than half of the TA part of your career.
