Description
As part of its ongoing drilling activities, our client is looking to engage a number of additional personnel to participate in its challenging drilling programme.MAIN ACTIVITIES
Perform completion/testing engineering eg preparation, SOW, operation programs in a timely manner
Prepare completion/testing programmes/end of well reports and coordinate other specialist inputs
Ensure optimisation of safe working practices are considered in the development of operational programmes
Supervise small task forces, comprising junior engineers and contractors to resolve engineering/technical issues and lead operational implementation of solutions
Update and follow up of the rig cost control for service contracts involved in completion/testing operation
Liaise closely with Operations to support implementation of engineering work plans, providing live completion/testing engineering support to operations
Follow up and improving well performances
Follow up and update of the well performance dossiers and launch of appropriate action plans
Prepare applications and returns to external agencies as required to satisfy the overall completion/testing programme in a timely manner
Effective contract management of contracts with a view to optimising value and to take decisions with respect to the job holder`s technical speciality.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The job holder will hold a BSc or MSC or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Offshore or Petroleum) with relevant experience in well engineering
Organisational skills to prioritise and manage a heavy workload in a rapid changing environment. Ability to plan, organise and control engineering projects to support operational activity
Good computer skills, especially in Excel and Word
Job holder will be a specialist in the technical discipline eg well completion design, well architecture calculation etc
Well developed knowledge of contractual/legal/terms and conditions/insurance issues
