Description
Senior Project Manager required for major telecoms company based in Dublin.
The purpose of this role is to manage all projects across the Groups technology and Business structure. In this case it is an internal infrastructure project involving PABX systems/Genesis Platform.
To be successful in applying for this role you must be able to deliver Quality projects that are on time/on budget are critical to the Clients performance. The role purpose is to deliver projects from an 'end to end' perspective - ie both the business and technical components. Projects will be delivered to specification in accordance with agreed standards.
Must have skills:
Strong team-leading and customer interaction skills
Ability to challenge the team and the customer for the overall good of the project
Ability to set priorities and work to tight timelines and budgets
Accountabilities:
Manage the delivery of projects including planning, progress tracking, resource management, RAID (Risk, Assumptions, Issue, and Dependencies) management and escalation
Develop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for the project's schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience
Measure and monitor progress of the project at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, that it meets or exceeds expectations and delivers the business benefits. Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality and risks
Ensure that risks are identified, managed and that mitigating actions are implemented at the project level as appropriate, and that these are escalated to the relevant stakeholders where warranted
Role specific technical skills:
PM qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, IPMA) and/or equivalent demonstrated experience
Experience of managing projects at €500K+ value
Experience of PABX or other large scale fixed-line projects
Experience of vendor management and budget management
Strong commercial and financial skills.
