Link Technologies is currently recruiting for an E-Discovery Manager for our client in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Responsible for all aspects of growing and maintaining the eDiscovery function/team, including but not limited to litigation support systems and practices, vendor management, selection and implementation of litigation support and eDiscovery technologies, creation and implementation of effective policies and procedures and oversight and management of function/team personnel. Promote department`s effectiveness, including assessing team and business needs; organizing and directing workflow; training, coaching and motivating team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide appropriate eDiscovery and technology consulting services to businesses, attorneys, paralegals and support staff, ensuring that all clients receive exemplary, seamless support and verification that all support needs are met.
  • Develop and implement strategic plan for providing effective and efficient eDiscovery case management services.
  • Establish and monitor the costs of attorneys, paralegals and litigation practice support personnel in the delivery of ediscovery services.
  • Ensure the eDiscovery department is using appropriate, innovative and cost effective technologies to manage discovery process.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of all eDiscovery documentation relating to internal processes, workflow, and support information.
  • Participate in hiring decisions, including assisting with preparation of job postings/descriptions, interviews, and review of resumes.
  • Coordinate assignments and evaluate for timely completion of tasks in order to implement appropriate technology solutions.
  • Work closely with vendors to minimize costs and maintain list of preferred vendors for outsourcing of eDiscovery projects.
  • Provide training for attorneys, paralegals and legal staff on the use of technology in eDiscovery case management.
  • Present training seminars on the use of litigation support tools.
  • Participate on appropriate committees, tasks forces, teams, and industry organizations; stay current with developments in litigation support technology.

Qualifications

  • JD degree highly recommended - not required though
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field, with at least 2 years in a management role which included recruiting, evaluating and mentoring staff, workflow optimization, budgeting and project management oversight.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of eDiscovery issues and how they affect the litigation process. Technically proficient with eDiscovery collection, processing and review technologies such as: Concordance, Attenex, Relativity, EnCase, Clearwell, Equivio, iPro, LAW; and transcript and trial technologies such as LiveNote, Trial Director and Sanction (list of solutions provided as examples only).
  • Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and network technologies including experience with implementing, administering and troubleshooting Microsoft client and server operating systems and Symantec's eVault.
  • Demonstrated excellence in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external business relationships.
  • Excellent writing skills; ability to present complex ideas succinctly and clearly.
  • Strong project management skills. Highly effective organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to achieve project results with sometimes incomplete, ambiguous, or sensitive information.
