We require a Senior .NET Developer for a role based in Dublin. 6 month contract.ESSENTIAL
- Experienced software developer with broad understanding of all aspects of optimal software development
- Experience of agile development processes.
- Ability to influence technical discussions and provide technical leadership
- Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on other project teams, development partners and stakeholders
- Ideal candidate will have 5+ years' hands on industry experience, ideally in ASP.NET development roles.
- Very strong JavaScript, JSON, HTML and CSS skills are essential, with an emphasis on Ajax development and use of JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and jQuery UI.
- Experience of .NET Frameworks 3.0, 3.5 and 4
- Experience of ASP.NET MVC 3/C#
- Experience of Unit Testing and Mocking tools, preferably Test Driven Development.
- Experience of Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control.
- Experience of ORM frameworks, preferably Entity Framework.
- Experience of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
- Experience of Internet Information Services 7
- Experience of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and 2010, Team Suite
- Experience of Windows Server R2
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of TFS (Team Foundation Server), CI (Continuous Integration) and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
- Experience in developing web applications for cross browser, internationalisation and accessibility
- Experience of VMware/Hyper V/VPC/Virtual Box
- Experience in development of online educational systems is highly desired
