My client, a leader in its field is currently recruiting for a Compliance Executive to work within a busy compliance Team. The role reports into the Compliance Manager and is responsible for the completion of operational compliance.

The compliance Executive will work across a number of key areas;

*Conducting compliance assessments and monitoring programmes across all business areas, their external outsourced business partners and third party service providers in line with the Compliance Assurance Framework and the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.
*Assist with a key part of the delivery of the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, by performing monitoring activity independently at the direction and supervision of the Compliance Manager.
*Act as the main point of contact in the absence of the Compliance Manager and provide assistance to the Compliance Assistant as appropriate.
*Monitor and report to the Compliance Manager on the Training & Competence activities undertaken meet the firm's expectations by means of on and off site reviews of outsourced third party suppliers.
*Interpret UK and European statutory and regulatory legislation (particularly FSA regulations) to ensure the Company meets these needs by identifying the need for improvement and implementing appropriate internal compliance policies
*Ensure technical and regulatory knowledge is kept up to date and ensure all activities are in accordance with regulatory and the companies Guidelines
*Assist the compliance manager to ensure that regulatory and legal best practice developments are communicated efficiently and appropriately to the business.

The successful will ideally need to demonstrate;
*Degree or Qualification in Insurance, Compliance or similar
*Previous compliance experience
*Minimum of 4 years experience working in a professional or technical environment
*Ability to review and interpret regulatory developments
*Ability to rapidly understand a range of technical issues and apply them to the operations of the business
*Excellent organisational, interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and networking skills
*Ability to deliver to timescale in a challenging environment
*Strong knowledge dissemination skill (will deliver training)
*Ability to take the lead on projects
*Good project management skills
