Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Service restoration
  • Manage critical situation
  • Conduct root cause analysis
  • Prescribe remediation across entire SharePoint Online platform when applicable
  • Manage Escalation and collaboration with SharePoint product group

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Must have extensive experience in enterprise level technical depth in all technologies supporting SharePoint products, including:

  • SharePoint 2007
  • SharePoint 2010
  • SQL 2005
  • SQL 2008
  • IIS6 and IIS7
  • WS2003, WS2008

Technical/Functional Skills:

As part of this team our Client is cultivating experts in key areas necessary to deliver hosted SharePoint in the cloud. To this end, the base expectation is a functional knowledge of SharePoint and associated technologies including:

  • Architecture
  • Operations
  • Debugging
  • SQL
  • IIS
  • PowerShell

Good to haves:

Specialty in one or more of the following areas is required:

  • General SharePoint 2007 administration
  • General SharePoint 2010 administration
  • Large scale web farm operations including tuning for high traffic publishing portals
  • Virtualization and large scale virtual machine management on Hyper-V
  • Security including environment hardening and intrusion/abuse prevention
  • SQL server 2005 and SQL server 2008 administration
  • SQL High-Availability and disaster recovery design, operational strategy in SQL2005 and 2008
  • SQL performance analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Develop and maintain a suite of SQL maintenance tasks to maintain hundreds of Servers
  • Develop and maintain a complete set of monitoring rules for SQL2005 and SQL2008

Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience is required
