Description
VB6 Applications Developer, Dublin, ContractVantage Resources require a VB Developer for a multinational financial Services client. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing and maintaining a financial planning system using Visual Basic and SQL Server technologies.
As an ideal candidate you will have:
3-5 years experience developing in Visual Basic 6
3-5 years experience developing in MS SQL Server
Exposure to .net technologies
Experience in troubleshooting code, code maintenance and code enhancement
Experience in meeting with users, documenting requirements & developing new functionality
Experience in dealing with end-users, communicating and explaining problems and their resolutions to the customer
You will also have had experience in establishing system requirements and/or change requirements and preparing detailed program specifications for VB and SQL Server.
Excellent communication skills are required, as you will be liaising on a daily basis with the Project Manager and Business Users.
