Description
Spring Technology currently require a Finance Business Partner for our public sector client based in Milton Keynes. Candidates are asked to provide their own day rates.
Successful Criteria:
Establishment of customer-focused, strategic thinking role that can be both proactive and reactive;
Achievement of corporate and departmental KPIs;
Production of accurate monthly management accounts incorporating all relevant financial indicators;
Production of comprehensive annual business plan incorporating all relevant financial indicators;.
Full understanding of MTA's produced and ability to interpret these to the satisfaction of the FBP Head
Comparison of work won against business plan;
Provision of commentary for inclusion in Excom reporting
Adherence to management accounting monthly time-table. Production and distribution of comprehensive information report packs to service managers;
Contribution within multi-disciplinary business partner scheduled meetings to ensure integration and consistency of plans in line with corporate and group objectives;
Essential:
Accountancy qualification eg CIMA, ACA, CIPFA - This is essential due to the accounting complexities of revenue recognition/WIP policies. Exceptionally a candidate may be a Finalist.
General Education: A level or equivalent standard.
At least 6 months experience as a Finance Business Partner.
Proven track record in financial management and control in public or large private sector blue chip organisations.
Good technical knowledge of accounting principles, systems and procedures.
Strong analytical skill-set with exposure to working closely as an FBP with the business in a decision support capacity.
IT literate. Advanced level skills in using EXCEL, constructing spreadsheets and manipulating and mining large data sets for reporting purposes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, balanced with tact and diplomacy and confidence in dealing with staff at all levels.
Proven track record & experience of negotiating and building partnerships, using influence to modify behavior and improve the outcome of business interactions.
Previous experience of delegating and team-management. Ability to develop and motivate staff.
The successful candidate must be able to obtain SC clearance.
