Description
Our client is a major player within the wealth management sector who is seeking an experienced solution designer to deliver detailed design for separate developments using the appropriate technology set.
Responsibilities:
- High involvement in the creation of project design plan.
- Provide and contribute to the design estimates throughout the project life cycle.
- Provide support to downstream build, test, and release teams to assist with their estimation activities.
- Track and report progress on design tasks
- Provide support to Business Analysts and Solution Architects during the formulation of high level solution design.
- Shape functional and technical direction of solution working with standard landscape and roadmap.
- Stakeholders management
- Organise, facilitate, and minute design workshops.
- Design documentation as required to facilitate the build, test, release and operation of an IT solution using standard templates and tools.
- Create system design documentation such as Service Registry, System Models, Data Models
- Comply with Design and Development standards.
- Organise and participate in design reviews, seek and gaining signoff for designs.
- Review technical design specifications developed by other designers
- Resolve design issues arising during build/test phases
- Engage in technical review of a completed software asset to ensure designs are implemented.
Essential Skills:
- 8+ years IT experience
- 6+ years of experience as a developer/designer in Microsoft technologies
- 2+ years of experience as a solution/integration designer with services and ETL integration
- 4+ years in web application design
- 4+ years in service integration design
- 4+ years in database design
- Project lead or design lead experience
- Strong experience in solution design using UML
- Experience in using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Sparx Enterprise Architect
- Extensive experience with .NET/C#,
- Proven experience with ASP.NET, JavaScript, Ajax, and jQuery
- Great experience with ETL using SSIS
- Strong experience in SQL server
- Excellent communication skills
