Worldwide leader in technology seeks an experienced Weblogic Application Server Specialist to join their growing team. Initially a 6+ month contract to join this global team based in Sydney with view to extend.
The Middleware Projects team are looking for an experienced Weblogic Application Server Specialist to provide technical advice and expertise to support the development and implementation of WAS solutions.
Duties:
- Provide technical expertise to assist with design and architecture of WAS infrastructure solutions.
- Implementation and configuration of WAS infrastructure in complex, enterprise environments;
- Troubleshooting of complex technical issues to achieve project deliverables;
- Transitioning infrastructure to BAU team to support by satisfying handover criteria;
- Working with colleagues and support teams to provide technical solutions to the customer.
Required Skills:
- Working (hands-on) knowledge of Weblogic Application Server - multiple versions, multiple platforms
- Installation/implementation & configuration of WAS solutions
- Clustering and enterprise level security
- 7+ years industry experience dealing with Middleware products.
- Experience in the implementation of Weblogic Application Server solutions (must)
- Experience in the implementation of IIS infrastructure solutions (desirable)
- Experience in the configuration of Tivoli Access Manager, LDAP, and other security technologies. (desirable)
- Knowledge and experience in delivering complex solutions in large banking and financial institutions an advantage
- Broad exposure to a variety of other technologies (eg Midrange, Wintel, Database, Network) with a firm understanding of the interdependencies between those technologies and the role area of expertise;
- Demonstrated experience with Java support, tuning and troubleshooting, including JMS and JNDI configuration;
- Unix Experience.
