My client is looking for a Finance Manager on a six month contractual basis

The role will manage a team of 3 for the financial elements of all bids and business cases, inc new proposition development, providing both support to the business teams and also constructive challenge.

To provide financial partnership and support to the Business Development, Product and Sales teams for all customer bids and product and proposition development and other business cases.

Accountabilities
* Interface with Bid and proposition development teams, both in support and constructive challenge.
Interface with central finance teams, both in terms of providing information and also securing specialist advice (tax etc)
* Finance support and partnership for all business development, customer pricing and product development activity
* Financial modelling for business development, new business/renewal activity and product development and other non-customer focused activity
* Liaison with tax advisers and the finance control team on tax matters relating to new business and other activity
* Liaison with the finance control team and others to ensure that billing, foreign exchange and other relevant matters are adequately considered and addressed
* Attendance at and constructive input into business development, sales and product meetings to discuss and develop commercial opportunities
* Provide constructive challenge and critique during the business development, sales and product development process to ensuring propositions deliver acceptable returns
* Directly interface with customers and support negotiations when that support is required
* Develop and maintain the tools and processes to support the bid and business case processes
* Support any inorganic and investment activity as required, in particular and due diligence, valuation activity.
* Ad hoc requests - ad hoc analysis and reporting as and when required, sometimes to tight deadlines.

Skills & Experience Required
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to constructively challenge others
* A professional and proactive approach with an eye for detail
* Considerable experience of providing finance partnership on commercial opportunities
* The ability to interpret and summarise financial analysis, provided by another team, into meaningful business information.
* A good understanding of accounting principles
* Strong Excel and business modelling skills.
* Good organising, time management and planning skills and the ability to work under pressure to achieve challenging deadlines
* Polished written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to be an active team player, being proactive where appropriate.
* Oracle and CPM experience
* Knowledge of the payments or financial services industry
* A relevant degree
* Experience of M&A
* Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
