Enterprise Risk Manager
The main objective of this individual will around ensuring the risk management framework and Solvency II policies are implemented across the Group. This means that risks are identified, managed and reported consistently. They will have a key role in looking after the framework for policy management, maintaining policies owned by Risk, working with policy owners to communicate policies and embed. This will include developing training material with comms and delivering it with managers in the business and risk managers in the function.
Therefore the Main Objectives of this particular individual will include the following:
- To develop and maintain the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Approach across all risk classes
- To assist in implementing a coordinated approach to risk management across the Group promoting and maintaining key risk and internal model policies and the overall risk management framework.
- To maintain excellent relationships with policy setters, key policy influencers and commentators, peer group Risk functions and consultants working in the Risk area.
- To promote a positive risk management culture across the Group
Further Experience/Skill set required:
- Knowledge and practical understanding of risk management theory and practice for financial service firms
- Acumen and understanding of relevant insurance industry business models.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant industry prudential regulations
- Degree level/professional qualifications in risk management/actuarial/auditing or equivalent.
Regulatory Knowledge/responsibilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant prudential regulations governing own risk accounts.
- Awareness of industry best practice in risk management
- Understanding of risk aspects of Solvency II
- Understanding and awareness of FSA TCF guidance and requirements.
