Description
Our client is America's most popular entertainment and interactive media company seeking a talented Software Design Engineer. This candidate will join the team that owns enterprise Back End infrastructure that serves applications for in-game content, tracking usage, kicking out analytics, and powering a multiplayer system that supports concurrent matches. Most of the Back End rolls up into a series of RESTful APIs used by client side developers.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-4 years of work experience
- Experience with distributed architectures, database tuning, load balancing, memcached, virtualization and other technology need to do to scale while improving performance/reliability and keeping costs down
- Experience with different SDLC models and productivity-and quality-oriented software tools
- Experience building applications for the mobile web
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other presentation layer technologies
- Understanding of Object Oriented Design, code re-usability and maintainability
- Enjoy working in an environment that ships frequent, small iterations - where plans are constantly in flux and good ideas triumph quickly
- Write clean code with solid test coverage under the review of senior/lead team members
- Assist in optimization for scalability, efficiency and maintainability in a practical, scrappy way
- Collaborate with iPhone developers, JavaScript hackers, designers and producers to help define, refine, prioritize and ship new features
- Assist in the building of new products and features, but derive just as much pleasure from polishing and fixing bugs
- Bachelor's degree
This contract position is expected to be 3 months in duration.
