Description
Key responsibilities:
- Handling customer requests within agreed timeframes
- Providing guidance and advice to customers on the most appropriate product for their needs
- Obtaining quotes for products not included in the product catalogues
- Raising purchase orders
- Placing orders with vendors
- Ensure IT Stock Levels are kept in supply as required ie mice, network cables
- Tracking and following up orders and providing advices to customers on status
- Co-ordinating installs, moves, adds, changes
- Monitoring and reporting on vendor performance
- Invoices and receipting goods
- Update phone (Mobile and IPhone) register for allocated services and devices
- Update Global asset register for all hardware (laptop)
- Complete Stationery Orders for IT as required
- Manage Telephone and Mobile Phone Repairs
Key requirements:
- Experience in procurement or installation desktop hardware and software
- Technical or customer support experience
- Experience in asset/inventory management
- Understanding of a complex desktop environment in a large organization
- Understanding telecommunication business processes
- Understanding Remote access products
- Previous Helpdesk (telephone support) experience
- Excellent telephone manner
- Experience of using call logging software
- Experience with using Microsoft Office with emphasis on MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration
