Description
The position is based in Oxfordshire, 6 months, rate negotiable depending upon experience.
Requirements:
The Senior Model Maker will have a proven track record in wind tunnel model making and be able to lead a team of model makers, planning their workload and taking overall responsibility for the sign off of components for testing. They will have a good knowledge of the manufacturing techniques and materials common in wind tunnel testing today, and feel comfortable working with the Model Designers to recommend changes and improvements.
*Experience of automotive wind tunnel model making a distinct advantage.
*Good practical, hands-on engineering skills and experience required - mechanical, electronic, composites, machining or other manufacturing background beneficial.
*The ability to work to a high standard and short timescales, producing components of high quality and dimensional accuracy is essential.
