We are currently searching for a WAS Engineer to work in Amsterdam, The Netherlands for 4 months plus extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.

Your Role:
Manage WebSphere Infrastructure
- Participate in projects as the lead WebSphere engineer
- Participate in changemanagementproces.
- Secure continuity of the WebSphere infrastructure.
- Perform analyses of production-activities, using available means for monitoring and registration.
- Perform tuning work.

Perform ITIL processes
- Take measures to control incident- en problemproces.
- Execute acceptance testing, both new or changed components.
- Maintain and perform production acceptance criteria.
- Prepared to participate in a stand by schedule outside office hours if needed.

The ideal candidate must have the following skills:

Good knowledge of English and Dutch
- Knowledge of at least the following operating systems: AIX, Linux
- Specific knowledge of WebSphere Application Server en WebSphere Portal in versions 5.1, 6.0, 6.1 and 7
- ITIL
- Loadbalancing using WebSphere Edge Server.
- Familiar with Web Security
- knowledge of Java programming standards and methods
- knowledge of WebSphere MQ
- good knowledge of Internet technologies and concepts

Experience required:

- At least four years demonstrable experience within a comparable function
- Demonstrable experience in projectparticipation as WebSphere engineer
- ITIL usage and process support.
- Experience within a complex maintenance organization, preferably in Finance industry

Personal skills:
Good communications in English and Dutch, Teamplayer, Result driven, Proactive, Analytical, Accurate
