CISCO IDS (Intrusion Detection System) Support Consultant
Skills: CISCO IDS, Lead Administrator, Technical Support, Developer Support, Administration and Management of IDS, IDS Configuration and Management.
My client is looking for a CISCO IDS (Intrusion Detection System) Support Consultant to be based in either London or Budapest dependent on the candidates preference. Therefore candidates for the UK will need to be eligible, and in addition for Budapest candidates will need to have EU eligibility.
Rates are negotiable but looking for candidates at the £150-£170 per day mark.
Candidates need to have a background in the following areas:
Skill1 - Technical Support
Works independently in trouble-shooting and providing technical and developer support for products/solutions via email, chat etc. Makes changes based on client specifications and company standards for installations/enhancements. Performs administrative and other duties as assigned. Typically interactions are with systems administration teams at client locations. Responsible for escalation at the right time to field support/higher levels. May guide newmembers of team.
Skill2 - Monitoring and TT Tools
Ability to configure & optimise various network monitoring & management platforms. Contribute to RCA & Data analysis.
CISCO IDS
Administration and management of IDS Perform monitoring & management IDS IDS Rules. Configuration and management.
Able to troubleshoot issues.
Interaction with vendors/local security team.
Troubleshooting the incidents & problems reported on the above components.
Provide the root cause analysis on the majorincidents/problems.
Validating escalations.
Validating change requests. Validating technical issue resolutions.
Follow-up of security issue resolution.
Coordinate with customer internal teams.
Service and operational reporting.
Generating regular reports
