Contracts Manager - Pensions - £450 per day
My client is seeking a proven Procurement/Contracts Manager to develop and implement best practice procurement and contract management activities for the Client Experience Programme and the re-tender of the Managed Service Contracts, as well as enabling Exec and Business owners to effectively manage the Strategic Procurement Plan and the performance of key supplier relationships.
The key responsibilities for this role will include;
Managing tendering, evaluation, selection and appointment processes for three major procurements in close collaboration with business areas; Ensuring all procurement and purchasing activities are appropriately documented (contracts, purchase orders, letters of engagement etc.); Develop initiatives to continuously improve VfM, quality, SLA performance, business continuity and sustainability; and Ensure full exchange of financial information with Finance Business Partners so that procurement and purchasing activities and projects for investment are appropriately reflected in budgets and forecasts.
To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate;
Extensive experience within a similar role, including developing SLA's and business continuity; Exceptional communication skills to negotiate and challenge decisions at a board level; Team leadership ability, including the coaching of junior members; An exceptional understanding of procurement compliance-related issues; An in-depth understanding of procurement and contract management, particularly of professional services and ICT in the financial services sector; Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of relevant EU (OJEU) and UK legislation and regulation.
