Role: SQL Database Analyst/Developer
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6 months + Contract
Job Description:
Reporting to the Corporate Banking BSA Database Development Manager, the Database Analyst/Developer (Access or SQL Server) is responsible for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of application systems, including databases and database management systems for the Corporate Banking BSA/AML process for multiple lines of business. Performs scope and objectives, and devises and modifies procedures to solve problems. Prepares detailed specifications to develop programs and designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Develops and manages all reporting for the Corporate Banking BSA/AML workflow.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of database architecture and design, reporting, ability to create system platform to interface with multiple users.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Visual Basic, SQL Server, Business Objects, RUMBA, ESB, and SEI, Outlook, NetQuery, Ammo, Sharepoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical skills to develop financial/statistical data and reports.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact professionally with various levels of management, peers, and key partners within the Bank.
- Ability to understand when to escalate issues to management for further direction.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Ability and willingness to work independently.
- Experience that demonstrates the skills and qualities that are required for position.
Education, Licensure, Experience:
- B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or directly related field.
- Requires 3 to 5 years of systems development experience or extensive experience with leading edge development tool or language.
- Banking and/or BSA/AML Regulations knowledge desirable.
