CompuCom is looking for testers! We need professional individuals who are passionate about games and available for contract opportunities that will start later this month, next month and well into the new year. These are full time 40 hour a week positions, not on-call test opportunities.
We need gamers with and without game test experience.
Testers will be responsible for running quality assurance test passes, logging issues (bugs) into a bug database, and bug regression. This is a professional job and should be regarded as such.
New BS in Computer Science grads encouraged to apply! Math and Science degrees as well!
Common tasks and responsibilities include:- Regular guidelines for testing and certification requirements - no ad hoc testing in this group
- Executes well defined, written test cases
- May execute established automated tests
- Can run simple automation scripts
- Logs failures; writes defect reports
- Assists with hardware and software deployment
- Ability to install game or application CD and make it run
- Ability to solve basic problems independently; will escalate necessary questions in order to complete tasks
- Previous testing experience preferred, technical/strong test aptitude required
- Need to be able to test a wide variety of areas and titles
- Must be very professional and able to consistently stay focused
- Must be able to follow test cases, test around cases, and recognize bugs
- Should have experience with Console and PC games
- Technical Certification Requirement (TCR) testing experience a plus
- Entry level coding or Scripting knowledge a plus
- Must have strong written and good verbal communication skills
- Must be personable enough to be able to work in a team environment
- Position located in Redmond, WA - telecommuting not an option
