My client, a leading banking group, is looking for an Analyst to provide in-depth forecasting to support decision making in their Mortgage business. The position is based in Leeds.
The role is to prepare five year forecasts of Net Interest Income for the Mortgage business and clearly explain the assumptions, outputs, risks and opportunities of the forecast.
Your job will be to work alongside the Financial Forecast Manager in producing both written reports as well as delivering stand up presentations of your findings, to senior stakeholders of the bank including Mortgage Executives, the FD and Commercial Director.

You will be expected to deliver quarterly forecasts, stress test forecasts, and to act in response to a number of relevant ad hoc scenarios. Your role will involve assembling data and efficiently analysing relevant volume, margin and other inputs to forecast Net Interest Income. From the evidence of your forecasting you will be expected to deliver these findings to senior executives to help support decision-making by clearly articulating the movements, implications and recommendations of the forecasts.

The chosen candidate will benefit from a particularly wide-raging view of the mortgage business as well as building a wide network of contacts including senior executives.

In order to be considered for this role the candidate must have the following key skills and qualifications:

Strong retail banking product knowledge, preferably around mortgages
Forecasting and financial modelling experience
An accountancy background or a relevant financial qualification would be advantageous.
Strong stakeholder skills to build relationships and to deliver strong presentations.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Prior exposure and application of the Hyperion software package would be an advantage.
