SQL Server Database Administrator - (Amsterdam, NL)
Skills and experience:
-Extensive knowledge of SQL server 2005 (and possible 2008)
-Experience with fysical installation of SQL Server databases/hosting environments
-Experience with performance and tuning of SQL Server databases (on Instance, Database and SQL level)
-Experience to work in a SQL Server hosting
-Experience in advising application developers.
-Knowledge of logical and physical Datamodelling
-Experience with maintaining Oracle databases (9i and 10g)
-Experience with working in a DataWareHouse environment"
-Experience with SQL Reporting Services
-Minimum 3 years SQL Server experience
-Certified SQL Server DBA (minimal "Database Administrator 2005") preferable 2008
-Experience with working in large complex environments
Description of work:
-Maintain SQL server databases 2005 and 2008,
-Perform software upgrades,
-Perform software patching
-Deliver SQL server performance and tuning support to the customer
-Maintain (2nd/3rd line incident handling and tuning).
-Participate in projects
